PCRE - Primary Caregiver Relocation Exemption Back to Secondary

PRIMARY CAREGIVER RELOCATION EXEMPTION  

Where the family or primary caregiver of a student has changed address and, as a consequence of the primary caregivers relocation,  the student could not reasonably have been expected to remain at their previous school, an application for exemption may be submitted to the Regional Sports Director responsible for the region of the new school. The application must be on the official Application for Exemption form available at Click here be signed by the principal and parent/primary caregiver and have evidence of the address change attached as outlined on the application form. A MAXIMUM of 2 PCRE’s issued in any calendar year may be included in any team that has a NZSSSC NTS quota. Any appeal must be lodged in writing with the executive director of NZSSSC.

Applications for Primary Caregiver Relocation Exemption, with evidence attached, must be made on the official application form below and received by the Regional Sports Director at least 4 weeks before the date of the event for which application is made.

The application will be considered by a regional committee and the school notified of the outcome. Any appeal to a regional decision must be made, in writing, by the principal of the new school directly to NZSSSC at ops@nzsssc.org.nz .

ONLY seek a Primary Caregiver Relocation Exemption if you will exceed the quota and have a student/s that qualify for the exemption.

Maximum Number of: 
New to School Students (enrolled within 2 years preceding the start of event) and Non Domestic Students who MUST be included in these maximum numbers, UNLESS the New to School student has been issued a Primary Caregiver Relocation Exemption (PCRE) whereby they are EXEMPT from these numbers.   For clarity, the student’s most recent enrolment date at the school must be used.
